About the product

While a compressor runs, the compressed air and the oil heat up. If this heat is not removed in time, the oil can no longer do its job, temperatures climb and the line risks a shutdown. A compressor radiator cools the hot air and oil leaving the compressor and helps keep the system at its operating temperature.

Safkan compressor radiators are made of aluminum, use bar-plate construction and are of the oil + air type. In this construction, the separator design in the oil channels creates turbulence, which improves heat transfer. You can read why aluminum is preferred in our article on aluminum radiators.

The oil + air type is intended for compressor applications where heat has to be removed from both the oil and the air. Every model on the product page has its own PDF datasheet with dimensions, connections and performance details.

Working pressure is the limit for normal operation of the system, while test pressure is the value applied to the product for verification. Do not confuse the two.
